INTRODUCTION
We are One Human Family and God is our provider. God provides sunshine and rain to all, especially to the farmers, without discrimination on basis of caste or creed. God sustains us through the farmers.
Sadbhav Mahotsav is a festival to celebrate the Sower, the Seed, the Soil and the Sustainer.
Sadbhav Mahotsav is an activity of ‘Sadbhav’ – an effort of the Society of Pilar to foster interfaith
relations and communal harmony. The Society of Pilar was founded in Goa on 26 th September 1887, and has been engaging in the promotion of peace and harmony through its institutions in Goa and beyond. The Society of Pilar cherishes the noble understanding of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ (“the whole world is one family) and wants to commit zealously to guard and pass down this profound philosophy to the coming generation.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAMME
Sadbhav Mahotsav is a community festival, an occasion to bring together the community, in the
neighbourhood of the Pilar hillock, to appreciate the Sower, the Seed, the Soil and the Sustainer. It
especially wishes to encourage the farmer by acknowledging their toil for our sustenance. This
festival aims to bring people of different faiths to dine together in fellowship, thereby fostering
mutual respect, communal harmony, and strengthening our bonds as one Human family.
